COMPASS is a national donor-funded charity helping people legally navigate Canada’s refugee claim process and new life beyond refuge. We began in 1987 and over that last 38 years we have helped over 13, 000 people from 80 different countries.
COMPASS helps people understand the refugee claim process and complete claim documents, access legal aid and resources, and prepare for hearings. We also build bridges to basic resources and the supportive connections people need to settle and engage in their communities. Most of the people we serve are approved for Canada’s protection and go on to build a full life beyond refuge.
