SEASON OF GIVING

As Christmas approaches, we can’t help but get excited for all that this season means and brings.  But we also know that for so many, this is a difficult time of year, and a time of real need. Knowing this, we want to make sure that as a church, we are intentionally looking for ways to LOVE and CARE for those around us.

We have identified ways that as the church we can help those both in our COMMUNITY and our CHURCH FAMILY.

Christmas Eve at Calvary

DECEMBER 24, 2021

We will be sharing the greatest story ever known and enjoying the sights
and sounds of Christmas in a creative and meaningful way!

Two Ways To Enjoy This Christmas Experience!

Having trouble with the form? Call the church during office hours for assistance.

CHRISTMAS EVE:
WHAT CALVARY IS DOING TO STAY SAFE

  • Our friendly and helpful volunteers (ushers, greeters, etc.) will be standing and sitting 6 feet apart from other attendees.
  • Volunteers will be wearing masks.
  • All Calvary services will be as touch-free as possible to give you the safest experience.
  • Inside doors will be propped open or held open by volunteers.
  • Additional hand-sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the building.
  • Seating in the sanctuary will be every other row, with three seats left in between individuals/families.

CHRISTMAS EVE:
WHAT CAN I DO?

  • If you (or anyone in your household) are feeling sick, if you have health concerns, if you have recently travelled, or if you have been in contact with anyone who is sick, please stay home and join us online.
  • Please wash your hands, use hand sanitizer often, and use proper methods with a sneeze or cough (into your arm, not your hands).
  • Maintain a distance of six or more feet between yourself and other guests.
  • Please respect the personal health decisions of others.
  • Reserve seats for you and your family in advance of attending.
  • Do not gather in groups before or after the service; please wave and say hello from a distance.
  • When the service concludes, please exit the building right away.
  • Please respect others and social distance when getting in and out of your vehicles.
  • Please wear a mask to the service. We ask that everyone joining us for an in-person Sunday service would wear a face mask. Children under the age of 5 are exempt from this requirement.  In an effort to protect our church family and guests, with a specific concern for the elderly, young children, and those who are immunocompromised, we are extending our mask wearing requirements as a request to all who enter the building on a Sunday morning.  Our desire is to reduce the risk for these groups, provide an atmosphere where everyone feels safe to attend, and do everything we can to make sure that the church doors continue to stay open.

Christmas Eve:
What to Expect When You Arrive

  • Church doors will open 30 minutes before the service start time, no earlier.
  • Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the service start time, in order to be seated.
  • Please enter the building at the front entrance, and check-in at Calvary Connect prior to proceeding to the sanctuary.
  • Children will be seated with their parents in the sanctuary.
  • Ushers will be available to help you find a seat: they will be seating individuals and families according to available space in the sanctuary, not by preference. If you have a specific need to be seated at the back, etc., please let your usher know.
  • Once in your seats we ask that you remain in your seats.
  • When the service is over, please wait for the ushers to dismiss your row, and then promptly exit the church building.

FREQUENTLY ASKED...

Do I have to reserve a seat?

Yes, you must pre-register in advance for Christmas Eve.  If a service is not full we will accept walk-in attendees.  Once capacity is reached, we will have to turn people away.  We highly recommend that you reserve your seat!

What if I reserve seats and then can’t make it?

If you can no longer make it, please follow the “View / Manage Order Online” link in your confirmation email to cancel your seats. (If it is your first time using Eventbrite, you will have to create an account).  This will free up your seats so that others can reserve them.

What if I go to reserve a seat and it is already full?

We welcome you to join us online to watch the live stream of the Cambridge Christmas Eve service at 4;30pm (or on demand afterwards) if the service is full on our YouTube channel.

We encourage you to register early to secure your seat(s).

What is a FAMILY SERVICE?

In our family service, all children will stay in the sanctuary with their parents.  Kids@Calvary (including any nursery or toddler programs) will not be available for the time being.  Elements specifically directed at our children will be included each Sunday.

An activity package will be given to kids each week, but we ask parents to bring a pencil and crayons.

Will nursery or any kids program be available?

No, all children will sit with their parents in the service. However, we will provide children with a small activity package when they arrive.

How long will the service be?

The service will be 45 minutes long.

Will washrooms be available?

Yes, washrooms will be available.

Can I watch online instead?

Yes!  You are more than welcome to join us online! The Cambridge Christmas Eve service will be livestreamed at 4:30pm on our YouTube channel (and then available on demand afterwards).

What are your current safety policies and procedures?
