Protect the Precedent or Chase the Possibility?

Churches everywhere are making regular decisions to follow the precedent of their past, or embrace the possibility of their future. It takes great intentionality to dream bigger, expect more and believe God for something that feels risky, even out of reach. It may be a lot easier to settle in to the precedents and patterns of the past, but there’s not much reward there.

At Calvary, we have nearly 100 years of legacy behind us. Over that time, countless lives have been touched, changed, healed and saved in the Name of Jesus. We celebrate the history, the stories, and the precedent that has been set. We thank God for it all. And we press on for something more. Something fresh. Something bigger.

We serve a God whose Kingdom is always expanding, and working on something NEW. It is a new season for us, and new seasons come with new vision. As we lift our faith for a future full of God’s possibilities, we anchor this faith in a vision founded on rock solid Biblical principles.

Christ. Celebration. Community. Cause.

  • We proclaim CHRIST, because we value all coming to know Him and His saving grace.
  • We champion a culture of CELEBRATION, because we value encountering God in powerful worship.
  • We pursue healthy COMMUNITY, because we value growth happening through meaningful relationships.
  • We promote the CAUSE of God’s Kingdom, because we value His plans to include us in His work.
