Day 2: Bring Them All to Jesus

By Pastor Christine Mann  (January 10, 2022)

Hebrews 4:16
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

What difference does it make? Does it really even matter?

We have all heard this said about prayer, and in all honesty, many of us have felt this at times as well. I can truthfully and confidently tell you that YES, prayer does make a difference. Every prayer you pray is heard by God. But understand this: He not only hears your prayers, He listens and He responds. God chooses to work through the prayers of His people. Your prayers move His heart. When you pray, a number of things happen: it takes your focus of you and puts it on God; it reminds you of who He is and what He has done and what He can do; it builds your faith, and it also changes the atmosphere of both your heart and your situation. It creates room for the Holy Spirit to move and bring change and miracles.

Your prayers are powerful and effective. So pray with confidence because God hears your prayers today. Believe that He cares about every detail, and pray as though the requests, intercession, and faith you bring to Him today will change the outcome of your circumstance!

As we begin these three weeks focused on prayer and fasting, please remember that your prayers matter, and God listens! You can bring your requests, both big and small, the ones needing a miracle, the ones without any solutions, the ones that feel insignificant, the ones you’ve prayed a million times before, and the ones that you’re really not even sure how to put into words. Bring them all to Jesus.

God, thank you that you hear every prayer, every request, every emotion, and that you see every tear. Jesus, help me to have the faith to confidently bring my requests to you. Thank you hear my prayers – every single one. Help me to have faith to believe that you are working and that you are able. In Jesus’ name, amen!
