“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!”
John 14:12-14 NLT
“Anyone” means any person or people. I’m an “anyone.” You’re an “anyone.” Jesus tells us in John 14 that ANYONE who BELIEVES (has trust, faith, or confidence in someone or something) in Him will do the same works he has done and even greater! The Bible also tells us that He came to heal, raise, cure, and mend. The Bible is the Holy Word of God and it doesn’t change and God never takes back His promises.
So wait… ”anyone?” Stop for a moment and think upon this.
In Matthew 10:8 Jesus actually commanded us, his followers, to “heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons.” We need to believe in Jesus and have faith that God can actually heal, raise, cure and mend and it will be given to us. We can have…
Courageous faith that parts the Red Sea (Moses)!
Courageous faith that stands in front of giants (David)!
Courageous faith that builds an ark (Noah)!
Courageous faith that obeys to sacrifice (Abraham)!
Courageous faith that sits with lions (Daniel)!
Courageous faith that won’t bow (Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego)!
Courageous faith that marches around a city for days (Joshua)!
Courageous faith that says yes to God to save the world (Mary)!
When we think upon each of these examples, they are regular people with COURAGEOUS FAITH because they KNOW the God they serve, and that they can count on Him! Their stories can inspire us to have courageous faith as well!
What are you praying about and believing for during this 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting? Healing? Restoration? Guidance? Wisdom? Write this down.[PRAYER]
Dear Heavenly Father, please give me the courageous faith that I need to see your promises fulfilled in my life. Help me not to doubt your will for my life but to press in and pray with a faith that comes from knowing you personally. Give me eyes to see your goodness in my life. Amen
